Grampa's Tractor
My Dad's tractor has been a familiar sight at my parents house for many years. The "boys", my son and nephew spent a lot of time on this tracker the other weekend!
I have a feeling these two are going to get themselves into a lot of trouble in the years to come.

A little bit of rain
This is what the piers looked like two weeks ago...
We had 2.5 inches of rain last week one day.....
And another 2.5 yesterday!

It's that time of the year again!
I love this time of the year. The weather gets colder. The air smells fresh.
The leaves start to turn a beautiful color and fall to the ground.
Every ride anywhere up here is a scenic drive. I love this time of the year.

Greeting Cards
I have decided that I am going to start my own Greeting card line....
I am using my Photos that are on this blog, And many more and putting them on
blank cards.
I am going to start by selling them at Hillside and the Loose Moose for
four dollars each.
I am calling it "A Vieux from the Lake Photography"
If anyone is interested in purchasing any of the cards,
or like any of my photos you can
let me know and I can get a copy of whatever picture you would like.

Generations
I look at this picture and I think of me and my Brothers running through
the fields together day after day in Farm Country.
We used to look at a view like this everyday. The rolling bluffs with a small
family farm nestled in the Valleys.
I watch my kids and my Brother's children and I hope that they
will have the memories like this to share with each other.

Dad's birthday present to himself
My Dad planted sunflowers in his prairie this year.
They cover the whole field behind the house.
It was very hard to capture this beauty.
First Flight
I was a little disappointed for our "science project" of the butterflies that I did not capture them coming out of the cocoon. While I was at my parents, walking through their prairie, I was blessed to find this! He had just came out and was still all curled up. We watched him dry off and fly away.

Mushrooms
I went for a little walk today and found
all of these mushrooms in a 1/2 acre plot.
I never knew there were so many different
kinds of them in our area.
I wish I knew more about mushrooms to really appreciate them... and try to eat some!
